Joblogic alternative

DoorOps vs Joblogic
for door contractors.

Joblogic is a 25-year-old, multi-trade field service platform with a plan ladder. DoorOps is a door-only product where every feature is on every tier, billed monthly from one engineer. Here is the difference, with prices and sources.

Short version

  • Joblogic gates PPM, engineer tracking, custom forms and the customer portal behind Premium and Enterprise. DoorOps includes all of them on Core.
  • Joblogic says most customers sign for 24 or 36 months. DoorOps bills monthly.
  • Joblogic has 7,000+ customers and 4.4 on Trustpilot. DoorOps has none of that yet, and a Joblogic importer for when you are ready.

Pricing and terms

What you pay, and for how long.

DoorOps prices are the live rates on our pricing page. Joblogic figures are quoted from their public pages, checked 10 September 2026.

 DoorOpsJoblogic
Entry price
£45 per engineer and £22 per office user each month (£450 / £220 a year). Plus adds £29 a month, Scale £79, for larger AI and subcontractor-job allowances. Prices exclude VAT.
Standard from £45 per user a month, billed annually (their example: a 5-user team is £225 a month). Premium and Enterprise are priced on request.
Who counts as a user
Engineers and office users have different rates. Someone who does both counts once as an engineer. External subcontractors use job credits, not seats.
Anyone who logs in: office staff, engineers and managers, all at the same per-user rate.
Minimum
One engineer seat.
Not stated. Per-user pricing scales linearly to 50 users.
Contract
Monthly, billed monthly, cancel before the next bill. Annual is optional and paid up front.
"Most of our customers commit to 24 or 36 months." A 12-month term is available on request.
Free trial
14-day trial of the full product. No card needed to start.
Standard plan only, no card. Premium and Enterprise are demo-led.
Onboarding fee
None. Guided setup checklist and UK-based support are included.
"In some instances there will be a fee." Smaller customers can self-serve; guided onboarding starts at Premium.
Feature gating
Core, Plus and Scale share every operational feature. Tiers differ only in monthly AI credits (12,000 / 30,000 / 75,000) and subcontractor jobs (5 / 20 / 50, plus 2 per engineer).
Premium: PPM contracts, route scheduling, engineer tracking, timesheets, purchase orders. Enterprise: customer portal, custom form builder, stock, SOR, paybands. RAMS and AI Summariser are Marketplace add-ons.

For door work

The features a door company actually uses.

Not a 200-row feature grid. The twelve things that decide whether the office chases the job sheet or reads it.

 DoorOpsJoblogic
One record per door job
One record per job and per customer: quote, drawings, RAMS, photos, worksheet, notes and the PDF you sent. That is the product.
Jobs, assets by site and serial, related records across sites, assets, quotes and jobs (Premium and above).
Worksheets and forms
Custom form builder, DoorOps door presets, shareable worksheet links, photos and signatures, on every tier.
Standard electronic forms and a suite of automatic-door checklists. The custom form builder is Enterprise only.
AI review
AI action summaries, wording checks and a compliance guardian, included as monthly credits on every tier.
AI Summariser and AI Rephraser exist as Marketplace add-ons, priced separately.
Assets and PPM
Asset register with QR labels, PPM planner and contracts on every tier.
Asset registers with QR tagging on all plans. PPM contracts start at Premium.
RAMS
RAMS and safety workflows on every tier.
RAMS Module is a Marketplace add-on.
Subcontractors
Send a job to a subcontractor by secure link. They complete the worksheet without a seat.
Portal users (customers, subcontractors, suppliers) are not charged as seats.
Engineer and vehicle tracking
Live engineer location and customer tracking links. Vehicle tracking accepts a telematics feed; DoorOps does not supply hardware.
Live GPS and historical tracking from Premium.
Customer portal
Customer portal on every tier.
Enterprise only.
Quotes, invoices, accounts
Quotes, invoices, purchase orders, stock and job costs built in. Native Xero, Sage and QuickBooks invoice push is in build; today invoices leave by API and webhooks.
Quotes and invoices on all plans. Integrations with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow and FreeAgent.
Mobile app
Web app, installable on the phone home screen. Worksheet progress survives lost signal, but it is not an offline-first native app.
Native iOS and Android engineer app that works offline.
API and automation
REST API, webhooks, Zapier and an MCP server for AI agents (API and MCP are separately scoped access).
API access is a Marketplace add-on.
Track record
No published reviews, case studies or named customers yet. DoorOps launched in 2026 and says so.
25 years, 7,000+ UK businesses, 4.4 on Trustpilot, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, 24/7 support on every plan.

Honest answer

When Joblogic is the better fit

  • You run several trades (HVAC, electrical, FM) and door work is one line of business. Joblogic is built for that breadth; DoorOps is not.
  • A tender asks for a vendor with decades of references, ISO 27001 and named enterprise integrations such as SAP or Sage Intacct.
  • Your engineers need a native app that works fully offline, or your office wants 24/7 phone support.
  • You want SFG20 maintenance schedules from a marketplace integration.

Where DoorOps wins

When DoorOps is the better fit

  • You are a door company that wants PPM, custom forms, RAMS and the customer portal without climbing to Premium or Enterprise to get them.
  • You will not sign a 24 or 36 month contract for software you have not run a full season on.
  • You want the office to see what the engineer found before the next phone call. The AI summary is included, not an add-on.
  • Your customers are the door type, the site warning and the last visit, and you want the software to know that without configuration.

Still on a calendar and the notes app?

Most door firms are not switching from software at all.

Ask a door engineers group what they run jobs on and the honest answers are a phone calendar, the Notes app and a WhatsApp group for quotes and measures. That works until the third engineer, or the customer who asks what you found last time. DoorOps keeps your calendar and Xero, and gives every job one record: customer, quote, drawings, RAMS, photos, worksheet and the PDF you sent.

Migration

Moving from Joblogic

Keep Joblogic running while you try DoorOps. Nothing here asks you to cut over on day one.

  1. 1Connect your Joblogic account from Settings, then import in stages: customers, contacts and sites; assets and contracts; engineers, parts and suppliers; jobs and field history; quotes and invoices.
  2. 2DoorOps reads live counts and estimates the duration before you queue anything. A full account can take hours because Joblogic allows 100 API requests a minute.
  3. 3Every run stores an encrypted archive first. Turn on operational mapping when you are happy with the preview, and resume from a checkpoint if you cancel.
  4. 4While you run both, DoorOps can hand a reviewed worksheet PDF back to the matched Joblogic job.

Common questions

Is DoorOps cheaper than Joblogic?

For a door company on the Standard plan the headline is similar: £45 per user at Joblogic billed annually, £45 per engineer and £22 per office user at DoorOps billed monthly. The gap opens when you need PPM, tracking, custom forms or the portal, which Joblogic sells on Premium and Enterprise at prices on request and DoorOps includes on Core.

Can I keep my Joblogic history?

Yes. The DoorOps Joblogic connector imports customers, sites, assets, contracts, engineers, parts, suppliers, jobs, field history, quotes and invoices in stages, with an encrypted archive and checkpoint resume.

Does DoorOps have a native offline app like Joblogic?

No. DoorOps is a web app you install on the phone home screen. A worksheet in progress survives lost signal, but the whole product is not offline-first. If your engineers spend their day in basements with no signal, that is a real point in Joblogic’s favour.
