Door Ops vs Jobber
for door contractors.
Jobber is a North American home-service platform with strong sales and marketing tools: online booking, a website builder, review-rich quotes and an AI receptionist. Door Ops has none of that marketing layer and instead goes deep on door work. Here is how the two line up for a UK door firm.
Short version
- Jobber prices in US dollars: $49 a month for one user on Core with no commitment, rising to $199 for one user on Grow. Door Ops prices in pounds per engineer and office seat.
- Jobber is ahead on winning work: online booking, a website, automated follow-ups, Pipeline and Marketing Suite. Door Ops does none of that.
- Jobber lists no asset register, PPM contracts or RAMS on its plans. Door Ops is built around them for door maintenance.

| RAMS | On-job risk assessments on every tier; the RAMS builder, library and packs on Core. | Not listed on the pricing page. |
| Subcontractors | Send a job to a subcontractor by secure link. They complete the worksheet without a seat. | Not described. Access is sold in user bundles. |

Honest answer
When Jobber is the better fit
- Your growth depends on homeowners finding and booking you online, and you want the website, booking page, reviews and follow-ups in one tool.
- You want an AI receptionist to answer calls and texts when nobody in the office can.
- Your engineers want a polished native app on iPhone or Android.
- Your door work is domestic, such as garage doors, and one-off jobs matter more than maintenance contracts.
Where Door Ops wins
When Door Ops is the better fit
- Your money comes from commercial door maintenance, where the asset register, PPM visits and RAMS matter more than marketing.
- You want UK pricing in pounds and a UK-based support team.
- You pass jobs to subcontractors and want them working on your sheet by secure link, not on a paid user.
- You want every returned worksheet summarised for the office without buying an AI add-on.
Still on a calendar and the notes app?
Most door firms are not switching from software at all.
Ask a door engineers group what they run jobs on and the honest answers are a phone calendar, the Notes app and a WhatsApp group for quotes and measures. That works until the third engineer, or the customer who asks what you found last time. Door Ops keeps your calendar and Xero, and gives every job one record: customer, quote, drawings, RAMS, photos, worksheet and the PDF you sent.
Migration
Getting out of Jobber
Keep Jobber running while you try Door Ops. Nothing here asks you to cut over on day one.
- 1Export clients and their properties from Jobber as a CSV, then import them into Door Ops as customers and sites from Settings.
- 2Keep past jobs and invoices in the structured export archive under Settings, Integrations, rather than retyping them.
- 3Check your Jobber term before you switch: a 12-month commitment keeps billing until the term ends, and annual prepaid plans are not refunded.
Common questions
Does Jobber price in pounds?
Not on the page we read. Jobber’s pricing page says all prices are in USD and exclude sales tax. Ask Jobber for a sterling quote before you compare it with Door Ops, which prices in pounds excluding VAT.
How much does Jobber cost?
With no commitment, one user costs $49 a month on Core, $139 on Connect and $199 on Grow; Plus starts at $499 a month with five users. Larger user bundles, annual billing and promotions change the figure, so use the team-size selector on Jobber’s page.
Does Jobber have planned maintenance for doors?
Its pricing page lists no asset register, QR labels or PPM contracts. Door Ops has an asset register with QR labels, a PPM planner and contracts on Core, built for door maintenance.
Does Door Ops have Jobber’s marketing tools?
No. Door Ops has no website builder, online booking page or marketing suite. If those win you most of your work, Jobber is the stronger choice.
Where are these Jobber figures from?
Jobber’s pricing page, its FAQ and its homepage, checked 23 September 2026. Jobber was running a promotion at the time, so we quote the no-commitment list prices.
